Title:
MOTOR VEHICLE LOCK
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2012/097803
Kind Code:
A3
Abstract:
The problem addressed by the invention is to minimize opening and closing noises in a lock for a motor vehicle, specifically in particular with little manufacturing outlay. To solve the problem, a lock comprises a locking mechanism with a rotatable rotary latch and at least one rotatable locking pawl for latching the rotary latch. As seen in a top view of the rotary plane of the rotary latch, the load arm and/or the catch arm of the rotary latch and/or a bore through which the rotary latch spindle is passed and/or a bore through which the locking pawl spindle is passed are only coated with plastic in the edge region. It is thus possible, with a minimal outlay on coating, to damp noises and minimize frictional losses without, in comparison to a more substantial conventional coating, having to accept drawbacks. Material and weight can thus be saved.
