Abstract:
A motor with a brake comprises: a motor body; an electromagnetic brake for braking the motor body; a DC voltage control circuit receiving a DC power supply voltage and outputting a DC voltage to the electromagnetic brake; and a motor housing for storing the motor body, the electromagnetic brake, and the DC voltage control circuit. The DC voltage control circuit outputs a first voltage for bringing the electromagnetic brake into a release state during a first period starting at a time when the DC power supply voltage is input, and outputs a second voltage for holding the release state of the electromagnetic brake during a second period subsequent to the first period.
