Title:
MOTOR
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/1994/006202
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A motor or a linear motor which is manufactured with the dimensions of poles on all portions of a rotor or a stator, or both thereof kept constant. In a rotor in the motor, poles are arranged circularly. A first portion of the rotor has arcuately arranged poles of an opposite polarity for neutralizing some of arcuately arranged poles of a stator. A second portion of the rotor has poles to be place in the positions, in which a rotational force occurs in a field formed by the stator and the first portion of the rotor. A motor in which all polarities are set opposite and the motor referred to first can be formed on the same shaft. This constitutes a dipolar motor. This motor can also be made by using magnets (electromagnets and permanent magnets). The rotation of the motor according to the present invention can be controlled even when the stator and rotor are staggered in the axial direction. When this motor is extended linearly, a linear motor is obtained.
