Abstract:
Provided is a motor having a rotor that has a rotating shaft extending in one direction, a housing that accommodates at least a portion of the rotor, and a stator that is accommodated in the housing. The rotor has a cylindrical air-cooling unit at least at one end side of the rotating shaft. The air cooling unit has a through-hole provided in a cylindrical shape that passes through the body of the air-cooling unit. The rotating-shaft-direction end part of the air cooling unit is exposed and open at the outside of the housing. A first through hole opens to the inside of the housing, and either the rotor or the stator has a plurality of coils arrayed in the circumferential direction of the rotating shaft. The housing and/or the rotor has a cooling hole that communicates with the interior of the housing, the cooling hole being located at the opposite side from the air cooling unit with respect to the coils.
