Abstract:
A motor comprises: a rotor that rotates around a central axis that extends in the vertical direction; and a stator that faces in the radial direction with a gap from the rotor. The rotor has a rotor core and a plurality of magnets, the rotor core having: a plurality of magnet insertion holes disposed in the circumferential direction with gaps therebetween, the magnet insertion holes accommodating the magnets; bridge parts positioned in the circumferential direction between adjacent magnet insertion holes; and recessed sections that are recessed radially inward from the outer side surface of the rotor core, each of the recessed sections being positioned on both sides in the circumferential direction of the bridge parts. The radially outer ends of the bridge parts project farther radially outward than the recessed sections, and the circumferential-direction width x [°] of the radially outer end parts of the bridge parts is represented by 10/p ≤ x ≤ 45/p, where p is the number of magnet poles of the rotor.
