Abstract:

A motorcycle electronic key system comprising a controller (14) mounted in an actual vehicle, and a portable transmitter-receiver (12) to be carried around by the user, wherein the actual vehicle (100A) has an openable/closable seat (108) to be taken by the user, with a start switch (70) installed in the seat (108) for starting the controller (14). Specifically, the start switch (70) is located in a position which is inside the seat (108) and which corresponds to a portion of the left-hand side surface, for example, where the user touches the seat (108) when opening the seat (108). An operating element (70a) for the start switch (70) is opposed to the back of a skin (122a) on the left-hand side surface of the seat (108).
