Abstract:
Provided is a motorcycle tire having improved wear resistance and water-discharge properties as a result of having an improved tread pattern. The motorcycle tire has a tread section and side walls and bead sections that extend on both sides of the tread section. The rotation direction when fitted to a vehicle is specified. At least two inclined main grooves that incline relative to the tire circumferential direction and at least two shallow grooves are provided in the tread surface of the tread section. If, among the at least two inclined main grooves, the inclined main groove having a tire width-direction inside end section closest to the tire equatorial plane is called the first inclined main groove 1, the at least two shallow grooves include: a center-side shallow groove 4 further on the outside in the tire width direction than the first inclined main groove 1 and at least in the center section; and a shoulder-side shallow groove 5 further on the inside in the tire width direction than the first inclined main groove and at least in the shoulder section.
