Abstract:
Provided is a motorcycle tire having improved wear resistance and water-discharge properties as a result of having an improved tread pattern. The motorcycle tire has a tread section and sidewall sections and bead sections that extend on both sides of the tread section. The rotation direction when fitted to a vehicle is specified. The tread section 10 has provided therein: a first inclined main groove 1 that is linear or curved and inclines relative to the tire circumferential direction; a second inclined main groove 2 that is linear or curved and is inclined in the same direction as the first inclined main groove 1 but at a different angle; and a shallow groove 3 that inclines in a different direction from the first inclined main groove 1 and the second inclined main groove 2 relative to the tire circumferential direction. The shallow groove 3 is arranged only in a shoulder section of the tire.
