Abstract:
The bank angle of a motorcycle is prevented from being reduced during cornering and damage to the AMT mechanism is reduced even when the vehicle falls. A motorcycle (1) comprises a cylinder block (47) of an engine, a crankcase (49) located under the cylinder block (47), a transmission (55) having a multi-shift mechanism that is located behind of the crankcase (49) and comprises a speed change gear with plural stages, a clutch for engaging/disengaging transmission of rotation when the speed change gear of the transmission (55) is switched, and an AMT mechanism (63) for automatically conducting clutch operation and switching of the speed change gear of the transmission (55). Because the AMT mechanism (63) is located behind the cylinder block (47) and above the transmission (55), the bank angle during cornering is prevented from being reduced and serious damage to the AMT mechanism when the motorcycle falls can be reduced.
