Abstract:
A hand-held scrubbing device (10) for cleaning a surface includes a waterproof casing (20) having an interior area (40) and an exterior area (22). The interior area (40) has an electromechanical motor (42), a battery (46) joined to the electromechanical motor (42), and a dispensing chamber (52) joined to a dispensing mechanism (48). The exterior area (22) has an orifice (24) joined to the dispensing mechanism (48), a dispensing activator (26) joined to the dispensing mechanism, and a scrubbing surface (28) joined to the electromechanical motor (42). When the dispensing chamber (52) is filled with a cleaning composition (50) and when the dispensing activator (26) is activated, the dispensing mechanism (48) expels a portion of the cleaning composition (50) from the waterproof casing (20), via the orifice (24). Furthermore, the electromechanical motor (42) provides a mechanical action to the scrubbing surface (28). A method for cleaning an item employs such a hand-held scrubbing device (10). A cleaning kit includes such a hand-held scrubbing device (10) and a cleaning composition (50).
