Abstract:
The invention relates to a mounting apparatus and a mounting method enabling the mounting of the electric toilet covers to the toilet bowls and the electrical connection for the same to be facilitated. More particularly, the invention relates to a mounting apparatus and a mounting method, wherein the electrical energy required by the electric toilet covers is transmitted via the mounting apparatus to the toilet cover by means of the transmission members contacting each other, instead of being supplied by means of the cables (6) directly connected to the toilet cover, and wherein the cable (6) connections for the mounting apparatus are performed from the bottom side of the toilet bowl, thereby facilitating the mounting of the electric toilet covers to the toilet bowls and the electrical connections for the same, providing an aesthetic appearance and providing advantage in terms of use.

Claims:
CLAIMS

1. A mounting apparatus for the electric toilet covers, enabling the mounting of the electric toilet covers to the toilet bowls and the electrical connection for the same to be facilitated, characterized in that it comprises

• at least one toilet cover connection component (1) enabling the electricity to be transmitted to the toilet cover,

• at least one fixing component (2) enabling the toilet cover connection component (1) to be fixed on the toilet bowl as well as enabling the electricity to be transmitted to the toilet cover connection component (1), and

• at least one connection member (4) and at least one nut (5) enabling the toilet cover connection component (1) and the fixing component (2) to be fixed to each other and in the toilet mounting hole (7).

2. A mounting apparatus for the electric toilet covers according to Claim 1 characterized in that the toilet cover connection component (1) comprises at least one connection pin (11), which penetrates into the toilet cover to enable said toilet cover to be fixed.

3. A mounting apparatus for the electric toilet covers according to Claim 2 characterized in that the connection pin (11) comprises at least one electrical energy transmission member (3), which enables the electrical energy to be transmitted to the toilet cover.

4. A mounting apparatus for the electric toilet covers according to Claim 1 characterized in that the toilet cover connection component (1) has at least one fixing component slot (12), which enables the fixing component (2) to be placed into said toilet cover connection component (1).

5. A mounting apparatus for the electric toilet covers according to Claim 3 characterized in that the toilet cover connection component (1) comprises at least one electricity transmission plate (13), which is connected with the electrical energy transmission member (3) on the connection pin (11).

6. A mounting apparatus for the electric toilet covers according to Claim 5 characterized in that the electricity transmission plate (13) is located within the fixing component slot (12).

A mounting apparatus for the electric toilet covers according to Claim 1 characterized in that the toilet cover connection component (1) comprises at least one connection member slot (14), through which the connection member (4), that is to realize the connection of said toilet cover connection component (1) and the fixing component (2), may pass.

A mounting apparatus for the electric toilet covers according to Claim 7 characterized in that the connection member slot (14) is a connection member slot (14) having a size, which allows the passage of the connection member (4) but does not allow the passage of the head of the connection member (4).

9. A mounting apparatus for the electric toilet covers according to Claim 1 characterized in that the fixing component (2) comprises at least one electrical energy transmission member (3), which enables the electrical energy to be transmitted to the toilet cover connection component (1).

10. A mounting apparatus for the electric toilet covers according to Claim 9 characterized in that the electrical energy transmission member (3) is located on the fixing component's (2) contact surface with the toilet cover connection component (21).

11. A mounting apparatus for the electric toilet covers according to Claim 9 characterized in that it comprises at least one cable (6), which provides the connection of the electrical energy transmission member (3) located on the fixing component (2) with the power supply.

A mounting apparatus for the electric toilet covers according to Claim 1 characterized in that the fixing component (2) comprises at least one connection member hole (22), through which the connection member (4), that is to realize the connection of the toilet cover connection component (1) and said fixing component (2), may pass.

13. A mounting apparatus for the electric toilet covers according to Claim 1 characterized in that the nut (5) comprises at least one nut connection member slot (51), into which the connection member (4) may penetrate.

14. A mounting apparatus for the electric toilet covers according to Claim 13 characterized in that the nut (5) is a nut (5) capable of rotating about the nut connection member slot (51).

15. A mounting method for the electric toilet covers, enabling the mounting of the electric toilet covers to the toilet bowls and the electrical connection for the same to be facilitated, characterized in that it comprises the process steps of

• placing the fixing component (2) into the fixing component slot (12) on the toilet cover connection component (1),

• passing the connection member (4) through the connection member slot (14) and the connection member hole (22) and fixing the same in the nut connection member slot (51),

• passing the toilet cover connection component (1), the fixing component (2), the connection member (4) and the nut (5) through the toilet mounting hole (7),

• rotating the connection member (4), and as a result of the rotation of the connection member (4), the nut (5) moving in the upward direction and the toilet cover connection component (1) and the fixing component (2) becoming fixed on the toilet bowl, and

• placing the toilet cover on the connection pin (11).

A mounting method for the electric toilet covers according to Claim 15 characterized in that the fixing component (2) is placed into the fixing component slot (12) in such a way that the electrical energy transmission member (3) located on the fixing component (2) contacts the electricity transmission plate (13) located on the toilet cover connection component (1).

17. A mounting method for the electric toilet covers according to Claim 15 characterized in that as a result of the connection member (4) being rotated, the nut (5) rotates about the nut connection member slot (51).

A mounting method for the electric toilet covers according to Claim 15 characterized in that in the embodiment where the mounting apparatus fixing component (2) comprises two electrical energy transmission members (3), the positive end of the power supply is connected to one of the electrical energy transmission members (3), while the negative end of the power supply is connected to the end of the other electrical energy transmission member (3) belonging to the same fixing component (2).

19. A mounting method for the electric toilet covers according to Claim 15 characterized in that in the embodiment where the mounting apparatus fixing component (2) comprises one electrical energy transmission member (3), at least two mounting apparatuses are used for the mounting of the toilet cover and in this case, the positive end of the power supply is connected to the end of the electrical energy transmission member (3) of the fixing component (2) of a first mounting apparatus, while the negative end of the power supply is connected to the end of the electrical energy transmission member (3) of the fixing component (2) of a second mounting apparatus.

Description:
MOUNTING APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR ELECTRIC TOILET COVER

Subject of the Invention

The invention relates to a mounting apparatus and a mounting method enabling the mounting of the electric toilet covers to the toilet bowls and the electrical connection for the same to be facilitated.

State of the Art

Today, the toilet bowls are frequently used in the bathrooms and toilets. In the embodiments where a toilet bowl is preferred, the toilet covers are employed for reasons associated with functionality as well as aesthetics. The toilet cover is lifted when a toilet is to be used and is, depending on the preference, closed following the completion of use. Because the physical contact occurring during the closing and opening of the toilet cover may lead to certain hygiene problems, the automatically moving toilet covers have been developed as a result of the advancing technology. The automatic toilet covers require electrical energy in order to be able to move automatically.

Similarly, owing to the advancing technology, the toilet covers have been provided with also other different features. The toilet covers may include the illumination members employed for decorative and/or functional purposes providing illumination when the toilet cover is in the open and/or closed position, the heating and/or cooling members enabling the toilet seat and/or the toilet seat cover to be heated and/or cooled and the electric disinfection members employed for providing the required hygiene in the toilet cover. These members require the electrical energy in order to perform their functions.

In the state of the art, the electrical energy required by the electric toilet covers is supplied by means of an adapter connected via the rear or side region of the toilet cover. This situation leads to some problems in terms of both design and use. The toilet covers that are integrated with the toilet bowls have been developed with a view to eliminate this problem; however, the fact that the intervention for the purpose of repair in case of malfunction and for the purpose of routine cleaning is difficult has caused the emergence of new problems.

In the mounting apparatus and method for the electric toilet covers according to the invention, the toilet cover is mounted on the toilet bowl without a fixed connection with the electric installation and thus it is able to be readily attached and detached, and owing to the supply of the energy required by said toilet cover by means of a connection realized from the bottom side of the toilet bowl, the connection cables are located under the toilet bowl, thereby providing an aesthetic appearance and providing advantage in terms of use. Object of the Invention

An object of the invention is to develop a mounting apparatus and a mounting method for the electric toilet covers, wherein the electrical energy required by the electric toilet covers is supplied via a connection realized from the bottom of the toilet bowl.

Another object of the invention is to develop a mounting apparatus and a mounting method for the electric toilet covers, wherein the electrical energy is transmitted to the toilet cover via the mounting apparatus instead of being directly transmitted to the toilet cover and as a result, the toilet cover is able to be easily attached and detached in a manner independent from the electrical connection.

Another object of the invention is to develop a mounting apparatus and a mounting method for the electric toilet covers, wherein the electric cables and/or the adapter used for the electrical connection of the toilet remain under the toilet bowl, thereby providing an aesthetic appearance and providing advantage in terms of use.

Detailed Description of the Invention

The invention relates to a mounting apparatus and a mounting method enabling the mounting of the electric toilet covers to the toilet bowls and the electrical connection for the same to be facilitated. More particularly, the invention relates to a mounting apparatus and a mounting method, wherein the electrical energy required by the electric toilet covers is transmitted via the mounting apparatus to the toilet cover by means of the transmission members contacting each other, instead of being supplied by means of the cables (6) directly connected to the toilet cover, and wherein the cable (6) connections for the mounting apparatus are performed from the bottom side of the toilet bowl, thereby facilitating the mounting of the electric toilet covers to the toilet bowls and the electrical connections for the same, providing an aesthetic appearance and providing advantage in terms of use. Within the scope of the invention, the term toilet cover refers to the toilet seat offering a surface for the user to be seated during the use of the toilet and/or the cover that covers the toilet seat and/or the toilet bowl.

The mounting apparatus for the electric toilet cover according to the invention comprises in its most basic form at least one toilet cover connection component (1) enabling the electricity to be transmitted to the toilet cover, at least one fixing component (2) enabling the toilet cover connection component (1) to be fixed on the toilet bowl as well as enabling the electricity to be transmitted to the toilet cover connection component (1), and at least one connection member (4) and at least one nut (5) enabling the toilet cover connection component (1) and the fixing component (2) to be fixed to each other and in the toilet mounting hole (7). The toilet cover connection component (1) is a component, which contacts the toilet cover and enables the toilet cover to be fixed on the toilet bowl and which at the same time transmits the electrical energy to the toilet cover. There is present at least one connection pin (11) on the toilet cover connection component (1). Said connection pin (11) extends upwards from the floor and penetrates into the toilet cover, thereby enabling the toilet cover to be fixed. The electrical energy transmission member (3) is located preferably on the surface of the connection pin (11) that is farthest from the floor. When the toilet cover is placed on the toilet cover connection component (1), more specifically when the toilet cover is placed on the connection pin (11) located on the toilet cover connection component (1), the electrical energy transmission member (3) contacts the electrical connection points present on the toilet cover and thus enables the electrical energy to be transmitted to the toilet cover.

On the toilet cover connection component (1), there is present a fixing component slot (12), via which the fixing component (2) is positioned into the toilet cover connection component

(1). During the mounting of the mounting apparatus according to the invention on the toilet bowl, the fixing component (2) is placed into the fixing component slot (12). Within the fixing component slot (12), there are present the electricity transmission plates (13), which are connected with the electrical energy transmission members (3) on the connection pin (11). The electricity transmission plates (13) enable the electrical energy transmitted by the fixing component (2) to be transmitted to the electric toilet cover via the electrical energy transmission members (3) located on the connection pin (11).

The fixing component (2) enables the system components to be fixed in the toilet mounting hole (7) and enables the electricity to be transmitted to the toilet cover connection component (1). During the mounting, the fixing component's (2) contact surface with the toilet cover connection component (21) is positioned into the fixing component slot (12) located on the toilet cover connection component (1). There is present at least one electrical energy transmission member (3) on the fixing component's (2) contact surface with the toilet cover connection component (21). Upon the fixing component (2) being placed into the fixing component slot (12), the electrical energy transmission members (3) located on the fixing component (2) contact the electricity transmission plate (13) and the transmission of electricity between the components is thus provided. The input of the electrical energy to the system is realized by means of a cable (6), one end of which is connected to the fixing component (2) and the other end of which is connected to a power supply.

The connection between the toilet cover connection component (1) and the fixing component

(2) is provided by means of at least one connection member (4). On the toilet cover connection component (1), there is located a connection member slot (14) having a size, which allows the passage of the connection member (4) but does not allow the passage of the head of the connection member (4). Similarly, there is present on the fixing component (2) a connection member hole (22) through which the connection member (4) may pass. After the fixing component (2) is placed into the fixing component slot (12) on the toilet cover connection component (1), the connection member (4) is positioned on the toilet cover connection component (1) in a way to pass through the connection member slot (14) and the connection member hole (22). After passing through the connection member hole (22), said connection member (4) penetrates into the nut (5); more specifically, it penetrates into the nut connection member slot (51) located within the nut (5).

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, there are present at least two electrical energy transmission members (3) on the connection pin (11) and on the fixing component's (2) contact surface with the toilet cover connection component (21) and there are present at least two electricity transmission plates (13) on the toilet cover connection component (1). The positive end of the power supply is connected to one of said electrical energy transmission members (3) and electricity transmission plates (13), while the negative end of the power supply is connected to the other one of said electrical energy transmission members (3) and electricity transmission plates (13).

In another preferred embodiment of the invention, at least two mounting apparatuses are used in mounting the toilet cover. In this embodiment, each mounting apparatus comprises an electrical energy transmission member (3) on its respective connection pin (11) and on its respective fixing component's (2) contact surface (21) with the toilet cover connection component and an electricity transmission plate (13) on its respective toilet cover connection component (1). In this embodiment, one of the mounting apparatuses is connected to the positive end of the power supply, while the other is connected to the negative end of the power supply.

The mounting method for the electric toilet cover according to the invention comprises the process steps of

• placing the fixing component (2) into the fixing component slot (12) on the toilet cover connection component (1),

• passing the connection member (4) through the connection member slot (14) and the connection member hole (22) and fixing the same in the nut connection member slot (51),

• passing the toilet cover connection component (1), the fixing component (2), the connection member (4) and the nut (5) through the toilet mounting hole (7),

• rotating the connection member (4), and as a result of the rotation of the connection member (4), the nut (5) moving in the upward direction and the toilet cover connection component (1) and the fixing component (2) becoming fixed on the toilet bowl, and

• placing the toilet cover on the connection pin (11).

Depending on the preferences, the connection between the mounting apparatus and the power supply may be provided by means of the cable (6) either after or before the mounting apparatus according to the invention is placed into the toilet mounting hole (7). In the embodiment where the mounting apparatus fixing component (2) comprises two electrical energy transmission members (3), the positive end of the power supply is connected to one of the electrical energy transmission members (3), while the negative end of the power supply is connected to the end of the other electrical energy transmission member (3) belonging to the same fixing component (2). In the embodiment where the mounting apparatus fixing component (2) comprises one electrical energy transmission member (3), at least two mounting apparatuses are used for the mounting of the toilet cover and in this case, the positive end of the power supply is connected to the end of the electrical energy transmission member (3) of the fixing component (2) of a first mounting apparatus, while the negative end of the power supply is connected to the end of the electrical energy transmission member (3) of the fixing component (2) of a second mounting apparatus.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the nut (5) is able to perform the rotational movement about the nut connection member slot (51). As a result of the upward movement of the nut connection member slot (51) caused by the rotational movement of the connection member (4) during the mounting, the nut (5) rotates about the nut connection member slot (51) and thus enables the toilet cover connection component (1) and the fixing component (2) to be fixed in the toilet mounting hole (7).

The mounting apparatus and mounting method for the electric toilet covers according to the invention will respectively become a preferred apparatus and method, owing to the fact that the electrical connection of the toilet cover is provided by means of the mounting apparatus from the bottom side of the toilet bowl and the cable (6) and other components for the electrical connection are located under the toilet bowl, as a result of which the mounting of the toilet cover is facilitated and an aesthetic appearance is obtained.
