Description

A Mounting Assembly and A Lamp Having the Mounting Assembly Technical Field

The present invention relates to a mounting assembly for a lamp, especially a down light In addition, the present disclosure also relates to a down light having the mounting assembly.

Background Art in lighting application, especially in a down light module, a diffuser, a lens or a cover needs to be used. During a conventional mounting, usually a screw or a glue is used to mount this type of components to the housing of the down light module. However, when these components are made of a glass material, it is obviously not suitable to mount them to the housing using the screw, and then the screw is replaced with the glue to fix them to the housing. However, the glue is not satisfactory in processing and reliability. The negative effects as brought are relatively complex assembling and use of more components, which do not help to industrial design.

Summary of the Invention

Therefore, the present invention aims to provide a mounting assembly which makes the assembling of a lighting device simpler.

The object of the present disclosure is realized thereby, that is, the mounting assembly according to the present invention, includes: a housing; an optical component having a sheet edge; and a socket for mounting the optical component to the housing, the socket having a loading frame loading the optical component, wherein, the loading frame is provided with at least one elastic locking members in the circumference thereof, and the housing is provided with therein at least one corresponding locking grooves that can engage with the elastic locking members. In this way, after the optical component having the sheet edge is mounted to the socket, simply the socket together with the optical component are fixed to the housing via mechanical locking. The mounting assembly according to the present invention has a relatively small number of components, which greatly reduces the assembling complexity, lowers the cost of the material and helps a lot to the industrial design. It needs to be pointed out that in the mounting assembly according to the present invention, the housing can be provided with therein any functional unit, for example, including, but not limited to, a LED lamp assembly.

It is put forward in one embodiment that the elastic locking members form at their joint with the loading frame a receiving groove for receiving the sheet edge of the optical component. By receiving the sheet edge of the optical component within the receiving groove, the relative shift between the optical component and the loading frame is restricted, so that the optical component will not easily drop off the loading frame during the assembling.

In addition, advantageously the length of the receiving groove extending in the direction of the elastic locking members is equal to or slightly smaller than the thickness of the sheet edge of the optical component. In this way, an interference cooperation appears between the sheet edge of the optical component and the receiving groove, thereby further preventing the optical component from dropping off the receiving groove and advantageously avoiding the shaking of the optical component in the receiving groove.

It is put forward in a preferable design solution of the present invention that each elastic locking member is closely adjacent to the receiving groove in its extending direction to form a restricting protrusion which protrudes radially inwardly. As the restricting protrusion protrudes radial inwardly, the possibility in size is further reduced that the optical component drops off the receiving groove. As the restricting protrusion is provided closely adjacent to the receiving groove, after the sheet edge of the optical component is mounted in the receiving groove, the restricting protrusion just abuts against the sheet edge of the optical component, thereby further reliably preventing the optical component from dropping off the receiving groove.

According to one embodiment, the elastic locking members form at the ends latch hooks protruding radially outwardly, and the latch hooks engage with the locking groove of the housing. This simple latch hook-locking groove helps a lot to reduce the complexity of the assembling. According to one embodiment, the optical component is a diffuser, a lens or a cover. in addition, it is put forward in one embodiment that the elastic locking members are formed integrally with the loading frame. This simplifies the production of the mounting assembly according to the present invention.

According to one embodiment, the loading frame has a contour corresponding to the optical component, and the contour can be round, square, rectangle or polygon.

Another object of the present disclosure is to provide a lamp. The lamp according to one embodiment includes the above mounting assembly. Use of this type of mounting assembly greatly simplifies the assembling of tire lamp, reduces the components of the lamp, and lowers the cost of the material.

It should be understood that the above general description and the following detailed description are illustrative and descriptive, and aim to provide further description and understanding of the lamp or assembly asked for.

Figure 5 is an exploded schematic view of the third embodiment of the mounting assembly.

Detailed Description of the Embodiments

Figure 1 illustrates the first embodiment of the mounting assembly according to one embodiment, wherein the mounting assembly includes a housing 1, an optical component 2 and a socket 3. In mis embodiment, the optical component 2 includes a round contour and the housing 1 includes a round opening contour corresponding to the round contour, and correspondingly, the socket 3 also has a round shape corresponding to the round contour. In this embodiment, the housing 1 is provided therein with a luminescent module (not shown in the figure). Certainly other functional modules can also be provided. As the invention point of the present invention does not lie in the functional module provided in the housing 1 , it is omitted herein.

The socket 3 includes a loading frame 5 loading the optical component 2, and the loading frame 5 is provided with multiple elastic locking members 6 in the circumference thereof. Also, multiple locking grooves 4 are provided in the inner wall of the opening of the housing 1 , and in mis way, by way of the engagement of the elastic locking members 6 with the locking grooves 4, simply the optical component 2 can be mounted to the housing 1 via the socket 3.

The assembling process of the embodiment is described as follows: first the optical component 2 is mounted to the socket 3, and then is buckled in the locking grooves 4 of the housing 1 via elastic locking members 6 of the socket 3, thereby mounting the socket 3 together with the optical component 2 to the housing 1.

It needs to be explained that the socket 3 in the embodiment is suitable for mounting an optical component having a sheet edge, that is, around the optical component is in a sheet shape while the other region can be in any other shape including, but not limited to, the sheet shape, a protruding shape or a concave shape. In this embodiment, the optical component 2 can be a flat diffuser, a lens or a cover in view of functions.

Figure 2 is a top view of the socket 3 of the mounting assembly in figure 1. As it is seen from figure 2, totally four elastic locking members 6 are provided and distributed evenly in the circumference of the loading frame 5, and certainly any random number of the elastic locking members can be provided when it is ensured that the mounting socket 3 can be firmly fixed to the housing 1.

Figure 3 is a side view of the socket 3 of the mounting assembly in figure 1. The receiving groove 7 for receiving the optical component 2 is formed at the joint of the elastic locking members 6 and the loading frame 5. As it is seen from the figure, the optical component 2 has been placed within the receiving groove 7, thereby limiting the relative shift between the optical component 2 and the loading frame 5. In this embodiment, the length of the receiving groove 7 extending in the direction of the elastic locking members 6 is equal to or slightly smaller than the thickness of the sheet edge of the optical component 2, thereby realizing interference cooperation between the receiving groove 7 and the optical component 2. In addition, each elastic locking member 6 is closely adjacent to the receiving groove 7 in its extending direction to form a restricting protrusion 9 which protrudes radially inwardly, thereby further reducing the possibility in size that the elastic locking member 6 drops off the receiving groove 7. The restricting protrusion 9 had better be provided closely adjacent to the receiving groove 7, so that the restricting protrusion 9 abuts against the optical component 2 after the optical component 2 is received within the receiving groove 7 to produce a restricting function. As it is seen from the figure, the elastic locking members 6 form at the ends latch hooks 8 protruding radial outwardly, and the latch hooks 8 engage with the locking grooves 4 of the housing 1. In this embodiment, the elastic locking members 6 are integrally formed with the loading frame 5, and certainty they can be formed in two parts.

Figure 4 is an exploded schematic view of the second embodiment of the mounting assembly. The distinction between the second embodiment and the first embodiment lies in the shapes of the housing 1, the optical component 2 and the socket 3. in this embodiment, they have a square contour. Certainly, the mounting assembly according to the present invention can also be in other shapes, such as rectangle and an irregular polygon. Figure 5 is an exploded schematic view of the third embodiment of the mounting assembly. In this embodiment, the housing 1, the optical component 2 and the fixed socket 3 of the mounting assembly in this embodiment have a corresponding long strip contour. Certainly the mounting assembly in this embodiment can also be in other shapes such as pentagon, hexagon or an irregular polygon.

The descriptions above are only preferable embodiments of the present invention, which are not used to restrict the present invention. For those skilled in the art, the present invention may have various changes and variations.
