Abstract:

[Problem] To provide a mounting direction determination device and a mounting direction determination method of an acceleration sensor, which are capable of automatically determining the direction of an acceleration sensor mounted in the vehicle. [Solution] This mounting direction determination device determines the mounting direction of an acceleration sensor for a vehicle, the acceleration sensor being capable of detecting a first acceleration and a second acceleration in a first direction and a second direction. A mounting direction determination unit determines the mounting direction by comparing an actual measurement value of the acceleration sensor with determination reference data. In the determination reference data, combinations of the mounting direction and detection results of the first acceleration and the second acceleration are defined.
