FIELD OF THE INVENTION

[0001] The present invention relates to a freestanding mounting for a phallic device. BACKGROUND TO THE INVENTION

[0002] Sex toys and phallic devices for the purpose of sexual gratification are commonly known as dildos, vibrators, sex toys, dongs, penile toys, with some being motorised and made of a variety of synthetic materials as well as glass and stone. These will all be hereafter referred to as a phallic device. Phallic devices are usually required to be manually hand operated with a user contorting their body for proper and repeated insertion. Alternatively a limited number of phallic devices can be inserted into a harness or body strap that must be worn by another party to achieve the proper and repeated insertion.

[0003] Generally however phallic devices are designed for self-gratification which can prove difficult for the user with a multitude of problems encounterable that restrict maximum utilisation of the device. Self-operation of a phallic device requires at least one able hand to control the movements of phallic device. In the limited option of a phallic device in a body strap or harness another user is required to operate the movement of the phallic device becoming limited by the other users agility to manoeuvre the device for proper and repeated insertion. Neither of these allows for hands free, free standing mounting that imitates the natural movement of sexual intercourse.

[0004] The object of this invention is to provide a portable, freestanding mounting device providing rotational and up and down movements imitating natural sexual movements for phallic devices. The object of this invention is to alleviate the above problems, provide the public with a useful alternative and/or provide a mounting that does not restrict phallic device use to able bodied persons.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0005] In a first aspect the invention comprises a mounting for operably securing a phallic device thereto, said phallic device mount comprising a base and connector, wherein the connector is adapted to receive the device and the base contains at least one suction point to secure the base to a surface. [0006] A mounting for operably securing a phallic device thereto, wherein the mounting consists of a circular base and cylindrical connector formed from a single piece of moulded plastic and wherein the connector is adapted to receive the device and the base contains at least one suction point to secure the base to a surface.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0015] The following detailed description of the invention refers to the accompanying drawings. Wherever possible, the same reference numbers will be used throughout the drawings and the following description to refer to the same and like parts. Dimensions of certain parts shown in the drawings may have been modified and/or exaggerated for the purposes of clarity or illustration.

[0016] Turning now to the drawings there is illustrated in Figure 1 a mounting 10 for the purpose of securing a phallic device or dildo 18 thereto comprising a base 12, connector 14 and pin 16. The base 12 consists of a circular cup 14, the underside of which includes suction points, allowing the base 12 to be attached to solid surfaces. The base itself can be a single suction cup, or alternatively contain a plurality of smaller suction cups. The base also includes a rod 16 jutting upwards from the cup 14 for attachment of the connector 18.

[0017] The connector 18 is cylindrical in shape and can be made of a wall of silicone filaments although it is to be understood that other materials can be used. The connector 18 is attached to the base 12 via the rod 14 which forms a male member mating with the female member formed by the cylindrical shape of the connector 18. In preference, one end of the connector 18 contours to the rod 16 to form a snug fit and securing the base 12 and connector 18. The mounting 10 can be further secured and supported by a pin 20 which can also act as a suction point.

[0018] Therefore, the mounting can be securely attached to a flat surface as required, such as the floor of a shower or bath, or alternatively can simply rest on a non-suction surface such as a bed.

[0019] Various sex toys such as a dildo 22 can then be inserted into the other end of the connector for utilisation by the user. Secured in place, the user can achieve hands-free sexual gratification as the mounting 10 holds the dildo 22 securely in place but still allows 360 degree movement of the dildo 22, flexible to no less than a 45 degree angle side to side, and also accommodates up and down movement by the user.

[0020] The connector 18 is removable and interchangeable, allowing for alternate connectors and devices to be attached to the base 12. For example, a connector with a larger circumference can be attached for use of a larger dildo or alternate sex toy. Alternatively, the base 12 can support a variety of connector or adaptors, for example a double connector and attachment pieces for use with alternate sex toys.

[0021] The mounting 10 is preferably manufactured from plastic, however it is to be understood that alternate materials can be used for example on the external casing, and other materials may be required to be used for internal components such as the pin 20 and suction points.

[0022] Illustrated in Figure 2 is the mounting 10 fully assembled with the base 12 and connector 18 attached. Also illustrated is a dildo 22 which can be inserted into the connector for use and for the purposes of this illustration the dildo 22 is of a slightly smaller circumference than the connector 18.

[0023] In Figure 3 the dildo 22 is illustrated after having been attached to the mounting 10, demonstrating a secure fit. This Figure also demonstrates the range of movement possible both side to side and circular motions by manipulation of the connector 18. To achieve this flexibility the connector 22 is made from appropriately pliant plastic or materials allowing the range of movement while keeping the dildo 22 firmly secured within the mounting 10. Because of the width and structure of the base 12 it remains firm and flat upon the relevant surface with additional support provided by the suction points.

[0024] The invention therefore provides an improved delivery method via utilisation of sex toys such as dildos to provide maximum usability, stimulation and satisfaction to the user. This is achieved through the freestanding nature of the mounting which does not require holding or guidance by the user but provides rotational 360 degree motion within a range of 90 degrees to at least 45 degrees coupled with an up and down movement as directed by the user.

[0025] The mounting is also designed to accommodate a range of dildos currently available in the marketplace which can be connected interchangeably to the mounting. Furthermore as the mounting itself is not motorised or vibratory it is not limited to use with batteries or electrical charge and is therefore safe for use in wet environments such as showers or baths. However the user can attach motorised or battery-operated vibrators to the mounting in dry environments is they wish.

[0026] Illustrated in Figures 4 and 5 is an alternate embodiment of the invention wherein the mounting 24 is a single base and connector with no separate attachments which can achieve the same result. However in this embodiment as the connector is not detachable the mounting can only be used with correspondingly sized and shaped sex toys, although this embodiment still provides the range or movement as seen in Figure 5.

[0027] The reader will now appreciate the present invention which is a freestanding mounting for the attachment of a sex toy device and allowing for hand-free control of that device as well as securement of the mounting via suction to a range of surfaces.

Although the invention has been shown and described in what is conceived to be the most practical and preferred embodiment, it is recognized that departures may be made therefrom within the scope and spirit of the invention, which is not to be limited to the details disclosed herein but is to be accorded the full scope of the claims so as to embrace any and all equivalent devices and apparatus. Any discussion of the prior art throughout the specification should in no way be considered as an admission that such prior art is widely known or forms part of the common general knowledge in this field.
