A mounting tool (1) for an optical fiber connector is provided with a base member (18) and a slide member (19). The base member (18) comprises a base body section (20) and a stationary base section (21) disposed on the rear end side of the base body section (20). The base body section (20) has formed therein: a core line positioning groove (22) for containing the optical fiber core line (4) of an optical cord (3); and a cord positioning groove (23) for containing the outer sheath (5) of the optical cord (3). Cord affixing grooves (26, 27) for containing the outer sheath (5) of the optical cord (3) are formed in the stationary base section (21) so as to be parallel to each other. The slide member (19) is mounted to the base body section (20) so as to be slidable in the front-rear direction. The slide member (19) is mounted to one side of the base body section (20) and has a holder (32) for holding the optical fiber connector (2).
