Abstract:
In a single position, a movable bedpan can simultaneously collect feces and urine excreted by a recumbent user. The movable bedpan (10) has a receptive part (20), a supporting part (30) and a bottom part (40). The receptive part (20) has a cavity (25) with a curved opening (26) which can accommodate the excreta of the user. The lower part (26a) of the curving opening is oriented upwards facing the anus (51) and accepts the feces excreted from the anus (51) to pass and enter the lower part (25a) of the cavity. The upper part (26b) of the curving opening faces backwards to the urethra opening (52) and accepts the urine excreted from said urethra opening (52) to pass and enter the upper part (25b) of the cavity. The urine dispersed after encountering the inner surface of the receptive part (20) does not overflow and spatter out of the cavity (25), but is constrained by the inner surface of the receptive part (20) to flow by gravitational effect to the lower part (25a) of the cavity.
