Abstract:
Provided is a movable iron core type linear actuator in which, without increasing manufacturing cost, magneto-spring characteristics can be adjusted and a new embodiment of the magneto-spring characteristics is also obtained. The movable iron core type linear actuator has a magnetic circuit (mc) for reciprocating a mover (2). The magnetic circuit (mc) comprises: an iron core (20) constituting the mover (2); a stator core (10) having a facing portion (10c) facing the iron core (20); a pair of permanent magnets (12a, 12b) which are disposed on the facing portion (10c) along a reciprocating direction and the respective magnetic poles of which on the surface side facing the iron core are reversed; and a coil (11) wound around the stator core (10). The mover (2) is reciprocated by conducting the coil (11), and when the coil (11) is conducted, the spring force of a magneto-spring, which is changed by the magnetic flux generated by the permanent magnets (12a, 12b) according to the relative position of the mover (2) with respect to the stator core (10), is superimposed on electromagnetic driving forces (F1, F2) generated by conducting the coil (11) and acts on the mover (2). A part of the facing portion (10c) is cut out between part of the facing portion (10c) of the stator core (10) forming a magnetic flux path and the permanent magnet (12b) to form a void portion (30) having a low permeability as compared to the stator core (10), thereby constructing a magneto-spring adjusting portion (3) for changing a magnetic flux distribution. Magneto-spring characteristics representing the relationship between the relative position of the mover (2) with respect to the stator core (10) and the spring force of the magneto-spring are changed by this magneto-spring adjusting portion (3) as compared to a case without the void portion (30).
