Abstract:
A movable device with retractable wheels for easily moving a bulky or heavy object such as a stand for a parasol or the like. The device includes a frame engaging the ground in its inoperative position, and a movable system consisting of a movable portion (18) pivotable about a pivot shaft (20) secured to the frame, two wheels (22) each freely rotatable about an axle (24) at one end of the movable portion, an abutment member mounted at a second end of the movable portion and prevented from moving upwards by the frame, and a lever (16) secured to the movable system in an intermediate position between the pivot shaft and the end of the abutment member so that applying a force on the lever raises the frame relative to the ground-engaging wheels and enables the object to be moved to another location by rolling the wheels along the ground.
