Abstract:
This movement assistance device has: a waist frame which is disposed behind the waist; a waist orthosis which fastens the waist frame to the waist; above-knee frames which are turnably coupled to both left and right ends of the waist frame; below-knee frames which are turnably coupled to the lower ends of the above-knee frames; knee orthoses which fasten the above-knee frames to the left and right knees; and a drive unit which generates an assist force to turn, with respect to at least one of the two below-knee frames, at least one above-knee frame coupled to the corresponding below-knee frame. The waist orthosis has an abdomen belt that is wrapped around the waist and a fixing belt that fastens the abdomen belt and fixes the waist frame while minimizing stretch of the elastic portion of the abdomen belt.
