Abstract:

A movement unit (1) is capable of easily mounting and dismounting a mobile body (41) to and from track rails (2A, 2B). The movement unit (1) comprises: the pair of track rails (2A, 2B) laid on a stationary section at a distance from each other and having guide surfaces provided on the surfaces thereof which face each other; movement blocks (3A, 3B) disposed housed within a housing space sandwiched between the pair of track rails (2A, 2B) and traveling on the guide surfaces of the track rails (2A, 2B); and a mobile body (41) disposed on the other side of the housing space from the stationary section and held by the movement blocks (3A, 3B). The mobile body (41) is provided with a mounting and dismounting mechanism. The mounting and dismounting mechanism changes the distance between the movement block (3A, 3B) mounted to one of the track rails (2A, 2B) and the movement block (3A, 3B) mounted to the other track rail (2A, 2B) and releases the state of contact between the movement blocks (3A, 3B) and the track rails (2A, 2B), the mounting and dismounting mechanism being housed within the housing space together with the movement blocks (3A, 3B).
