Abstract:
A moving body detection device (1) is provided with: an image capturing means (10) to capture an image of a location behind the own vehicle; an image conversion means (31) to convert the captured image to a bird's eye image by transforming the viewpoint; three-dimensional object detection means (32, 33, 34) to generate difference waveform information on the bases of difference images of the bird's eye images at different time points, detect a three-dimensional object on the basis of the difference waveform information, and calculate a moving speed of the three-dimensional object on the basis of the different waveform information; a moving body detection means (34) to detect whether or not the three-dimensional object is a moving body on the basis of the moving speed of the three-dimensional object; a turn detection unit (35) to detect the turn of the own vehicle; and a control means (36) to suppress the detection of the three-dimensional object on the basis of the difference waveform information or the detection of the three-dimensional object as a moving body when the own vehicle is detected as making a turn compared with the case when the own vehicle is not making a turn.
