Abstract:
The present technology relates to a moving body and a telescoping linear motion mechanism and makes it possible to reduce the size of the moving body equipped with the telescoping linear motion mechanism. The moving body is equipped with a telescoping linear motion mechanism that telescopes in a first direction, wherein the telescoping linear motion mechanism comprises a first link, a second link, a plurality of sprockets arranged in a plane parallel to the first direction and including a drive sprocket arranged on the first link, and a chain that connects the sprockets and both ends of which are connected to the second link, at least a portion of the first link and the second link overlap in a second direction perpendicular to the plane, and driving of the drive sprocket causes the first link and second link to move in the first direction so as to approach each other or separate from each other. The present technology can be applied to a legged robot, for example.
