Abstract:
A moving body warning device which warns a driver that a moving body exists in front of a vehicle is provided with: an image capture device (12) which captures the situation in front of the vehicle and acquires a frontal image thereof; a moving body detection device (18a) which detects the moving body; a visible range detection device (18c) which detects the visible range of the driver from within the range corresponding to the frontal image in the frontal situation; an assessment device (18b) which assesses an already recognized moving body which exists continuously for a predetermined reference time within the visible range; and a warning device (18d) which warns the driver using different modes for an unrecognized moving body and the already-recognized moving body.
