Abstract:
In order to improve coding efficiency in inter-component prediction, an image coding device (1) for coding a moving image having a plurality of color components is provided with a table selection unit, a prediction coefficient derivation unit, and a linear prediction unit. The table selection unit performs switching between a plurality of tables corresponding to the characteristics of the color components of the moving image. The prediction coefficient derivation unit derives a prediction coefficient on the basis of a table obtained by the switching by the table selection unit and a Bit string. The linear prediction unit predicts a color difference prediction residual signal using the prediction coefficient derived by the prediction coefficient derivation unit and a luminance prediction residual signal.
