Abstract:
In the present invention, encoded video image data (111) is decoded at a decoding unit (101), and a compression unit (102) compresses the decoded image (112) so as to store the image into a compressed image storage unit (105). An image decompression unit (103) decompresses the compressed decoded image (113). A filter information generation unit (104) uses the decompressed image (114) and the decoded image before compression (112) to generate filter information (115) so as to cause the image after being compressed and decompressed to approach the decoded image before compression (112), and stores the information into a filter information storage unit (106). A reference image decompression unit (107) decompresses the compressed image (116) which has been stored in the compressed image storage unit (105). A reference image filtering unit (108) uses the decompressed image (117) and the reference image-use filter information (118) stored in the filter information storage unit (106) to generate a reference image (119). Therefore, it is possible to reduce bandwidth to shared memory while suppressing deterioration of image quality when compressing the decoded image.
