A moving image encoding method, which is able to suppress reduction of the encoding efficiency and improve the image quality of a decoded moving image, comprising: generating a prediction signal by predicting a moving image signal (S100); calculating the difference between the moving image signal and the prediction signal as a prediction error signal (S110); generating a reconstructed moving image signal by reconstructing the moving image signal based on the prediction signal and the prediction error signal (S120); determining filter data, with respect to at least two signals among the prediction signal, prediction error signal, and reconstructed moving image signal, for filtering the signals (S130); and encoding the determined filter data based on the cross-correlation between the determined filter data (S140).
