Abstract:
Provided are a moving inspection device, moving inspection method, and steel manufacturing method that make it possible to significantly reduce device size and weight without influencing the quality of the inspection of an object to be inspected. A moving inspection device (20) comprises a moving inspection device body (30) for inspecting an object (S) to be inspected for defects while moving over the surface (Sa) of the object (S) and a water supply device (80) that is provided separately from the moving inspection device body (30) and is for supplying water (W) necessary for inspection onto the surface (Sa) of the object (S). The moving inspection device body (30) is provided with a baffle plate (73) that, when the moving inspection device body (30) is moving, pushes the water (W), which is supplied from the water supply device (80) onto the surface (Sa) of the object (S), in the advancement direction and forms a flow line for supplying the water (W) to an area between an inspection sensor (44) for inspecting the object (S) for defects and the surface (Sa) of the object (S).
