Abstract:
A moving magnet linear slider in which the effect of microvibration is minimized at the time of driving a linear motor, the servo gain can be increased easily, and the speed ripple can be suppressed. The moving magnet linear slider comprises a linear motor for reciprocating a table (3) and a means for detecting the relative positions of the table (3) and a fixed base (1). The linear motor comprises an armature (2) formed by winding a polyphase armature winding around an armature core secured to the fixed base (1) and a permanent magnet (4) for field fixed to the lower surface of the table (3) in the vertical direction and arranged between the inner side face of the linear guide and the outer side face of the armature (2), with gaps between them. The detecting means comprises a linear scale section (5) secured to the lower surface side of the table (3) and a sensor head section (6) fixed to the upper surface side of the armature (2), and the central axis of the detecting means is substantially aligned with the thrust central axis G-G of the armature (2).
