Abstract:
A moving robot provided with a body having a flexible part including a hollow part in which one or more variable regions as at least a portion of the surface thereof deforms in accordance with a change in pressure inside the body, a compression/decompression part for compressing or decompressing the inside of the hollow part, a state sensing part for sensing a state relating to deformation of one or more variable regions and acquiring state information, and a control part for causing the body to move by causing one or more of the variable regions to deform via the compression/decompression part using the state information. Through this configuration, a robot is realized that is flexible and has high stability as well as excellent impact resistance, resulting in the ability of the robot to easily move even in a non-flat location.
