Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a relatively inexpensive moving toy that moves in accordance with a connection between toy bodies. [Solution] A moving toy (10) has a first toy body (20M) and a plurality of types of second toy bodies (50) connected to the first toy body (20M). The first toy body (20M) has a first connecting part (26R) and a second connecting part (26L) to which the second toy bodies (50) are connected. A movement controller (61): stores, in an identification information storage unit (65), identification information (41) for the second toy bodies (50) as inputted by an identification information input unit (32); and upon detecting, using a first connection detection unit (36R) or a second connection detection unit(36L), that a second toy body (50) has been connected to the first connecting part (26R) or the second connecting part (26L), reads an item of identification information (41) on the basis of a predetermined rule from amongst the identification information (41) stored in the identification information storage unit (65), and moves a moving part (63) on the basis of movement information corresponding to the read identification information (41).
