Abstract:
A moving vector detecting device is provided to detect a moving vector between frame
images with good accuracy at a high speed. The moving vector detecting device
detects a moving vector of images between a previous frame and the present (later)
frame in which edges in the vertical direction are first enhanced in a plurality
of image regions into which the frame image is divided in the vertical direction
and then generates projection data corresponding to one horizontal line by projecting
the image in the vertical direction. Intersecting points between the projection
data and a first threshold value are searched and the projection data of the present
frame corresponding to a detecting range of the moving vector are extracted at
each intersecting point as a center. Each of the extracted projection data is
added at every distance from each intersecting point to detect the moving vector
of the image with respect to the horizontal direction from the added result.
