Abstract:
A mower is provided with an operating rod, a cutting blade unit, a body unit, and a transmitting shaft. The cutting blade unit is mounted to the front end of the operating rod and rotatably supports a cutting blade. The body unit is mounted to the rear end of the operating rod and incorporates a motor for driving the cutting blade. The transmitting shaft is mounted inside the operating rod and transmits output torque of the motor to the cutting blade unit. An adaptor member is fixed to the outer peripheral surface of a rear end portion of the operating rod. In the body unit is formed a rod inserting hole for receiving the rear end portion of the operating rod to which the adaptor member is fixed. The construction prevents the operating rod, which has versatility, from being erroneously mounted.
