Abstract:
The present invention relates to an MR-fluid damper comprising a rod (12) placed inside an out-cylinder (1) that controls the damping capability by changing the strength of the magnetic field, wherein a coil (8) that can be turned on/off by electricity is mounted between the axial-radial directions of the out-cylinder (1) and the rod (12), and an MR-fluid that becomes magnetic through the coil (8) is embedded between the axial-radial directions of the coil (8) and the rod (12), wherein sequentially provided, in an axial direction, are: a fourth yoke (3), a bush (4), an oil seal (5), a third yoke (6), an O-ring (7), a coil (8), an O-ring (7), a second yoke (9), an O-ring (7), a coil (8), an O-ring (7), a first yoke (10), an oil seal (5), a bush (4), a friction ring (11) and a case (13), such that the MR-fluid damper of the present invention enables easy assembly of the damper, shorter assembly time compared to conventional dampers, easy insertion of MR-fluid, better adjustment of damping capability according to different situations, and reduction of resonance and noise of the device having the damper.
