Title:
MRI SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2014/203827
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
This MRI device (10) has: a dewar (12) that houses liquid helium; a superconducting magnet disposed in the dewar (12); and a heat shield (16) disposed in a manner so as to encircle the dewar (12). A cold chamber (40) includes: a freezer first stage (42) that generates low-temperature helium gas from high-temperature helium gas; and a freezer second stage (44) that generates liquid helium from the ultralow-temperature helium gas. A transfer tube (90) provided with a heat exchanger (22) conveys the liquid helium and helium gas. The present invention has: a cooled helium gas transfer tube that supplies cooled helium gas obtained from the freezer first stage through the inside of the transfer tube (90) to the heat exchanger (22) and cools the heat shield; and a high-temperature helium gas transfer tube that transfers helium gas that has been warmed by the heat shield in the heat exchanger (22) to the freezer first stage.
