Abstract:
Provided is a lightweight and compact muffler device which can be installed in a limited space within an electrical generator, and can ensure sufficient capacity. The muffler device is provided with a vertically arranged casing 21, and a top cover 22 and an undercover 23 (end cover) which are disposed over and under the casing 21 are formed in a substantially trapezoidal shape. In this way, compared to when the top cover 22 and the undercover 23 are formed in planar shape, a greater inner capacity of the casing 21 can be ensured. This makes it possible to reduce the size of the muffler device 20 and eliminate unnecessary components, thereby achieving a decrease in manufacturing cost and weight. Because the casing 21 is vertically arranged, installation is possible even when the installation space in the housing of the electrical generator 1 is small, and the size of the electrical generator 1 can be reduced.
