Abstract:
A muffler for an internal combustion engine is provided with an outer shell, an inlet pipe, an outlet pipe, and at least one constriction. At least one constriction is disposed in the opening of the inlet pipe and/or the outlet pipe into the aforementioned outer shell. Further, the at least one constriction is formed with a smaller cross-section area than the inlet pipe and/or the outlet pipe in which the aforementioned at least one constriction is formed in the inlet pipe and/or the outlet pipe.
