Abstract:
Systems and methods of use thereof for safe and reliable operation of multi-battery systems are disclosed. One such multi-battery implementation includes a battery management system embedded in each of the batteries. The battery management systems can be configured to report certain electric characteristics of the batteries to an external control unit and receive a command from the control unit. Upon analysis of the electric characteristics, such as voltage differences between batteries and state of charge of each of the batteries, the control unit can request the battery management systems to turn on the batteries to supply power.
