Abstract:
A transmitter/receiver comprises reception beam formation units (1041 - 104M) that form a plurality of reception beams, and transmission beam formation units (1131 - 113J) that form a plurality of transmission beams. The transmitter/receiver further comprises reception beam calculation processors (1081 - 108M) that calculate the overall reception quality from the reception quality for each path delay of a user signal for each reception beam, and a transmission beam selector (109) that selects a reception beam whose overall reception quality is excellent and selects a transmission beam having a direction that is the same as, or close to the direction of the selected reception beam. Therefore, the optimum transmission beam may be selected even in a multi-path environment.
