Abstract:
Methods and systems for processing multi-channel audio streams using one or more arrangements of single-channel components are provided. One single-channel component is arranged at a near-end channel of a signal transmission path for every far-end/near-end channel combination in the path. Each component of a group of first components (1, N+1, N(M-1)+1) located at the near-end channels (200A, 200B, 200M, respectively) receive render stream input (e.g., signal-processing information) from a first far-end channel (250A). Similarly, each component of a group of second components (2, N+2, N(M-1)+2) located at the near-end channels (200A, 200B, 200M, respectively) receive render stream input from a second far-end channel (250B). Additional groups of single-channel near-end components receive far-end channel input in this manner.
