A multi-channel LAMP detector and a control method thereof. The detector comprises a chip bin (2) and an optical detection mechanism (8), wherein the chip bin (2) is provided with a plurality of chip slots (10); the optical detection mechanism (8) can be movably arranged in a housing (1) in a left-right direction and a front-rear direction, and the optical detection mechanism (8) is located below the chip bin (2); and each chip slot (10) has a plurality of detection sites (P11, P12, P13, P14, P21,…, P24, P31,…, P34) which are arranged in the left-right direction, and each detection site (P11, P12, P13, P14, P21,…, P24, P31,…, P34) of each chip slot (10) corresponds to one detection position. The detector further comprises an X-direction driving mechanism, which is used for driving the optical detection mechanism (8) to move in the left-right direction; a Y-direction driving mechanism, which is used for driving the optical detection mechanism (8) to move in the front-rear direction; and a controller, which is used for receiving detection signals of an X-direction start point detection switch (801), an X-direction end point detection switch (802), a Y-direction start point detection switch (803) and a Y-direction end point detection switch (804), and controlling the X-direction driving mechanism and the Y-direction driving mechanism. The detector can process samples in a plurality of micro-fluidic chips (100) at a time, and also has relatively small volume.
