Provided are a multi-connection communication method and device. The method comprises: an access network device of a first network determining that data shunting is performed on data of a UE via an access network device of a second network; then, sending first shunting configuration information to the UE; and sending second shunting configuration information to the access network device of the second network, wherein the first shunting configuration information is used for notifying the UE that the access network device of the second network shunts data to be shunted of the UE, and the second shunting configuration information is used for instructing the access network device of the second network to shunt the data to be shunted of the UE. By means of an access network device of a second network shunting data to be shunted of a UE to an access network device of a first network and the access network device of the second network for simultaneous transmission, the transmission efficiency can be improved, thereby bringing a greater throughput capacity.
