Abstract:
A method for measuring cross talk of a multi-core fiber according to the present invention comprises a step of preparing in which an emission light pattern at an end part of a dummy fiber is photographed and correlation data between the power of light incident on the dummy fiber and the emission light pattern are acquired, a step of measuring the power of a reference light emitted from a core by injecting light into one core of the multi-core fiber via the dummy fiber, a step of estimating the power of cross talk light from imaging data of the cross talk light and the correlation data by photographing the cross talk light emitted from a core different from the core to which the light is incident in a state of masking the reference light, a step of determining cross talk from the power of the reference light and the power of the cross talk light, wherein the photography is performed using a camera or the like disposed, via a space, facing the end part of the multi-core fiber without interposing the dummy fiber between the camera and the end part of the multi-core fiber.
