This multi-cylinder internal combustion engine (1) is provided with an EGR device (30) containing an EGR cooler (27), a valve overlap period is set during which the valve opening periods of each of an air intake valve (20) and an air discharge valve (21) overlap, and the multi-cylinder internal combustion engine (1) has four cylinders (2). The multi-cylinder internal combustion engine (1) is provided with: four air-discharge-side branch pathways (15) provided one at a time to each cylinder (2); a storage tank (31) that stores condensation water (CW) generated at the EGR cooler (27); and four condensation water introduction pathways (33) that interconnect the air-discharge-side branch pathways (15) and the storage tank (31) and that are provided one at a time to each air-discharge-side branch pathway (15).
