Abstract:
This invention involves a multi-function card, which is especially applicable to card reader and CD-ROMs for reading data. In this invention, a CD dread-surface and a magnetic strip or IC chip are mounted onto a disk sheet which is 0.8 mn thick and conforms with ISO 7816 protocol. The device can be inserted into a card reader or plug in card machine to read data stored in the magnetic strip or IC chip. The disk sheet can be placed on a read cover-DSK, which in turn can be staedily put into a CD-ROM, and that makes it convenient for the optical read head in the CD-ROM to read the data carried by the disk sheet. The invention integrate such storage media as magnetic card, IC card and CD sheet into one so as to improve security for use, capacity of memory, and expands its applications.
