Abstract:
There is provided a multi-function device as follows. When a handy type multi-function terminal is added, for example, even when only a USB cable is prepared without preparing a power cord, an MFP device has a wider range of purposes and the MFP device can easily be used. The multi-function device which can be used for various purposes includes: means for detecting a connection between the USB interface and a PC; means for detecting a connection to the power line; and control means for selecting an operable function in accordance with the connection detection state between the USB interface and the PC and the connection detection state to the AC power line.
