Abstract:

A multi-leaf collimator (100) and a radiation treatment head, belonging to the field of medical devices. The multi-leaf collimator (100) comprises n layers of leaf sets, a driving component (103), and a controller, where n is an integer greater than or equal to 2. Each leaf set layer comprises one or two opposite sets of leaves (102). Each set of leaves (102) comprises a plurality of leaves (102). Each leaf (102) comprises a front end surface (m1) and a rear end surface (m2) that are opposite to each other. Each leaf (102) can move so that the front end surfaces of the leaves (102) of the multi-layer leaf sets can create regions of various shapes penetrable by a beam (P). The rear end surface (m2) of the leaf (102) is connected to the driving component (103). The controller is used to control the driving component (103) to drive the leaf (102) to move. The invention resolves the issue of a multi-leaf collimator (100) that only comprises one layer of leaves (102), which results in higher strength requirements on the driving component (103) for driving the leaves (102), such that the driving component (103) is not easily manufactured, and a small number of leaves (102), resulting in fewer shapes of radiation field. The driving component (103) of the invention is easy to make, field formation is more flexible, and the invention is suitable for radiation therapy.
