Abstract:
Provided is a multi-leaf spring type damping device capable of suppressing both
the resonance due to rotations near the main dangerous rotation speed of a rotation
shaft system and self-excited vibrations due to the rotations at or higher than
the main dangerous rotation speed of the rotation shaft system. In the multi-leaf
spring type damping device, a bearing (9) fitting the rotation shaft (4) of the
rotation shaft system (6) including the rotation shaft (4) and a rotor (5) mounted
on the rotation shaft (4) is clamped in or made to contact with the portion near
the leading ends of a plurality of multi-leaf springs (11) fixed at a suitable
spacing, thereby to suppress its deflecting vibrations. An auxiliary multi-leaf
spring (13), which has a structure substantially identical to that of the multi-leaf
spring and which is pressed in advance at its portion near the leading ends in the
direction opposite to the multi-leaf spring thereby to have a repulsion of a predetermined
magnitude, is fixed to the portion near the root end of the multi-leaf spring by
interposing a spacer (12) and in a manner to confront each other. As a result, the
multi-leaf spring is made into a multi-leaf spring unit (14) having the double
structure.
