Abstract:
Provided is a multi-level inverter control device capable of reducing loss related to switching elements in maximum-current phase at zero frequency or in a very low speed domain. The multi-level inverter control device comprises: a maximum-current phase selection unit 52 for selecting the maximum-current phase having the greatest current amplitude on the basis of the absolute value of the current command value or current detection value for each of the three phases of a triphasic N-level inverter (N being an odd number of 3 or greater); subtraction units 54U, 54V, 54W for subtracting the voltage command value for the selected maximum-current phase from the voltage command value for each of the three phases of the N-level inverter; and a carrier comparator 55 for comparing the post-subtraction voltage command value for each of the three phases with (N-1) carrier signals, and generating a switching signal for each switching element of the N-level inverter.
