Abstract:

A multi-phase brushless direct-current motor and a drive method therefor. The motor comprises a motor body and a drive module, and the drive module comprises a controller, H-bridge single-stage inverters of all phases and independent phase coil windings (1) which are successively electrically connected. The method comprises: a controller outputting a pulse width-modulated sine wave with the same frequency and amplitude to drive H-bridge single-stage inverters of all the phases respectively, wherein the pulse width-modulated sine waves corresponding to every two adjacent phase coil windings have a non-zero phase difference therebetween, and the phase differences are the same; and the H-bridge single-stage inverters of all the phases output sine wave drive voltages or sine wave drive currents of the corresponding phases to the corresponding electrically connected independent phase coil windings. The multi-phase brushless direct current motor and the drive method therefor can realise sine-shaped voltage or current driving, thereby improving the efficiency and reducing noise.
