Title:
MULTI-POSITION SWITCH COMPRISING A PROGRESSIVELY DISPLACEABLE CONTACT
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO2002103850
Kind Code:
A3
Abstract:
The invention relates to a switch comprising a slider (3) carrying contacts (4) and provided with a saw-like drive gearing (7) extending in the sliding direction. Said drive gearing comprises drive teeth (9) which rise towards an actuator (2). The actuator (2), which can be displaced perpendicularly in relation to the direction of displacement, is provided with an actuating cam (10) which can be slid along the drive teeth (9). When the actuator is pressed in, said actuating cam displaces the slider (3) along the slide path of a drive tooth (9). A stop gearing (11) which is formed on the slider (3) and extends in the sliding direction, and a stationary cam-like stop element (13) which can be elastically displaced, move the slider (3), by means of their catch action, along a residual height into a defined catch position in which the contacts (4) can be brought into contact with stationary corresponding contacts (6) of the switch. The invention enables the handling and production of one such switch to be improved.
